How long does shipping take?
We ship orders Monday to Friday from Rolleston (Canterbury) using express delivery. Most orders arrive within 1–5 business days. Rural deliveries may take a little longer. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your parcel is on its way.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is a flat rate of $10 per order — and it’s FREE when you spend over $120!
What is your Returns and Refund policy?
Returns & Refunds Policy
We want you to love your purchase! Under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA), you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.
Change of Mind Returns
Because our items are consignment and one-of-a-kind, we offer returns for store credit only if you change your mind.
You must contact us within 5 working days of delivery to request a return by emailing secondchanceclothing.nz@gmail.com.
Store credit will be issued as a gift voucher valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Items must be:
- Unworn, unwashed, and in original condition
- With original tags attached
- Returned within the approved timeframe
Faulty or Incorrect Items (CGA Rights)
If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Contact us at secondchanceclothing.nz@gmail.com within 48 hours of receiving your items, with your order number and photos of the issue, and we will arrange a return and provide a refund or replacement where appropriate.
Return Shipping
For change-of-mind returns, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in transit.
If an item is faulty or incorrect, we will cover the cost of return shipping.
Late Returns
Items returned outside the approved return period will not be eligible for store credit or refund, and any additional shipping costs will be the customer's responsibility.

What if my item doesn't fit?
We spend hours carefully searching through pre-loved garments rescued from heading to landfill, giving each piece a second chance 😉 Because of this, we only stock one of each item, making every find truly one of a kind.
All garments are sourced from a variety of retailers, so we don’t have a formal size guide. However, most items generally fit within standard sizing such as Small, Medium, Large or UK sizes 6, 8, 10, and 12.
How do I care for my garments?
Care instructions are listed on each product page and on the garment label.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We work quickly to get your order on its way, so contact us as soon as possible if you need to make any changes. Once your order has been packed or shipped, we may not be able to make updates, but we’ll always do our best to help where we can.
How can I track my order?
Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive an email with a tracking link so you can follow your parcel every step of the way.
What if I receive a faulty or incorrect item?
Oh no—so sorry about that! Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order and we’ll arrange a refund as quickly as possible.
Are sold-out items restocked?
We lovingly source unique second-hand garments that would otherwise be discarded, giving them a new life. This means each piece is a one-off treasure, and once it’s sold, it’s gone for good.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently deliver exclusively within New Zealand and are unable to offer international shipping at this time.
